The European Research Council has awarded Alex an ERC Advanced Grant.
These grants are highly competitive and fund the very best, creative researchers to run projects based in Europe. This Schier Lab project will be funded with 2.7 million euros over five years, and will investigate the development of individual cells. Alex’s aim is to understand the logic governing cell differentiation.
